PEACES
PEACES is a specialized journal in peace studies published by the Kangwon Institute for Unification Studies at Kangwon National University. It presents a broad range of theoretical and practical research on peace and conflict, coexistence and cooperation, on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia as well as in regions throughout the world. The journal addresses the principal themes of peace studies, including war and violence, the Cold War and state violence, and war memory and social healing, while also attending to questions of peace newly raised amid a rapidly changing international environment and social transformation. It further seeks to accommodate research analysing, from the perspective of peace, the diverse issues of contemporary society, such as ecological peace and the climate crisis, sustainable development, human rights, migration and refugees, and social inequality. The journal is oriented towards peace research at many levels, including peacebuilding, the spread and practice of a culture of peace, and community recovery and social integration, and actively welcomes theoretical and empirical research that proposes new research themes and methodologies. PEACES aims to be a scholarly forum that continually identifies and shares high-quality research capable of contributing to the academic development of peace studies and to international scholarly exchange.
