This research intends to open a fresh horizon of migration and peace studies in quest for establishing an alternative politics of migration. Beyond the theoretical address, it is dedicated to unfolding five compellingly distinctive categories in the nexus of migration and peace. The first two concern the politics of border and boundary. After dwelling upon the dynamics of border and illegality, this paper examines the prospect of local peace in the age of migration. Next, given the weight of judicial reviews in migration issues, it invokes a need for a far stronger engagement of civil society with it. Lastly, the situation of displacement, it argues, must be immune from barbarian violence in any hideous forms and manners. Based upon these reflections, the key objective in conflating migration and peace is eventually to attract due and inspiring attention from peace researchers, and in so doing enunciate a wider possibility of the field of migration and peace studies.
